1024 x 1024 x 256 in 9 seconds with SIRT
Latest 3D reconstruction speeds with iterative algorithms
20th January 2011 | Best wishes to everyone!
DigiECT is able to 3D reconstruct a 1024 x 1024 x 256 voxel volume (1.0 GB) using SIRT iterative algorithm in only 9 seconds per iteration!
At the beginning of this New Year, Digisens is glad to unveil all the latest 3D reconstruction speeds of reference when performing iterative algorithms with DigiECT software (see left table).
This key achivement from Digisens’ engineers and doctors – highly skilled in mathematics, imagery and computer science – comes from major software optimizations, not to forget the recent market launch of more powerful Nvidia GPU boards (Tesla C2050 and C2070).
We point out that all our 3D reconstruction speeds include input and output (I/O) delays related to loading and writing times of the data on the disk, together with the processing time itself.
